Return / Exchange Policy


The Basics...
If you wish to return merchandise sold by Basically Ballroom you may do so for an exchange or a refund of the original purchase price (minus shipping costs and restocking fees), subject to certain conditions.

By placing an order on our website you indicate your agreement with this return policy.

Shoes may be returned FOR EXCHANGE ONLY, must be returned to us within six (6) days of receipt by you, and are subject to a $10 restocking fee.

Special orders, closeout sale items, one-of-a-kind / used items, insoles, and aerosol products cannot be returned.

 
Return Policy
Do not send back any item until a return authorization has been issued to you.

To initiate the return process use the Order History section of your account on our website. (See below for additional information.)

All return requests are subject to approval.

Please be aware of the following before requesting a return:

  1. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

  2. Shoes returned for exchange are subject to a $10 restocking fee as well as additional shipping charges for the replacement item.

  3. Shoes must be in as-new condition in order to receive a refund or exchange; they must have a clean bottom and no major creases.

    • Shoes that have been danced in cannot be returned.

    • We strongly recommend you try new shoes over a clean carpet or paper.

    • Shoes worn over a hard surface will pick up dust or dirt and cannot be accepted for exchange.

  4. Shoes cannot be exchanged after 6 days of receipt by you. (Date of "receipt by you" as indicated by UPS or USPS online tracking system.)

  5. Special orders are sizes / styles made specifically for you, and are therefore non-returnable. Our vendor will not accept for exchange any item that they do not stock as regular inventory.

Generating a Return Request
Use the order history section of your account on our website to locate the invoice of the order containing the item you wish to return / exchange.

Any item eligible for, and/or still within the allowed window of time for return will appear at the bottom of the order details page, as shown in this example here.

If you believe you are within the allowed exchange time period, but are unable to initiate a return online, please contact us so that we may handle things for you.
